5 Star Experience with Black Star

   The Black Star team did a fantastic job designing and constructing our deck with screened-in porch.  They were really knowledgeable and not at all pushy when we were working to fine-tune the design, giving us great suggestions (like our built-in bar!) and helping us weigh options given our needs and budget.  Their crew worked hard to deliver a quality deck, left the site really tidy every day, and were even friendly enough to indulge my 5 year old in the occasional 'funny face contest.'  Black Star communicated consistently and clearly with us through the entire process and worked really hard to ensure we were happy with every single detail.  If you want a company that communicates well and does quality work for a fair price, hire these guys!

Hired Black Star Home Improvement LLC to tear down old, janky wooden deck and replace with larger Trex deck with stairs. The hubs and I were at odds over materials so Mark took us out to Barron’s to view basically all options available to us, which was super helpful and we ended up selecting completely different colors and materials that we had initially planned. Which I’m sure was really fun for Mark. Black Star’s pricing was incredibly competitive and The quality of work was absolutely great. The deck was built quickly and professionally, the builders worked from sun up until sundown. They even had to endure some unexpected nasty weather and still managed to complete on time.

   A special thanks to the Black Star crew. Just an amazing job! We absolutely love our deck. In fact, most of the neighborhood have complimented the look and speedy timeframe of the build. We felt like VIPs from start to finish - from getting a personal tour of the warehouse with our Trex options/color scheme to receiving a heart felt St. Patrick’s Day gift basket for our future deck party (thank you Candice Schenck). We couldn’t have asked for a better company and experience.

 Black Star built my deck, and I was amazed of the outcome. People read reviews all the time, and they all pretty much say the same thing. However, I will tell you that with a quality product also needs to have service,  and they understand that. Great communication! Willingness to make the customer happy! Also realistic pricing. Great company and I will definitely be using them for future projects.  

  Black Star Home Improvement stands behind their work, which is high-quality. Mark was very communicative and very helpful in getting work done on time. This was our first project in our first home, so we had a million questions. Mark and his crew went above and beyond with their guidance through the process and the finished product is absolutely stunning. They kept to the timeline given, did everything and more for the price quoted. We definitely recommend Black Star to anyone looking for quality work done.  Mark and his team not only do fantastic work, they are great to work with. They keep you up to date on the status of your project and Black Star is consistently the best deal in town. He built a deck at our home in Haymarket, VA and we couldn't have been more impressed with the end results. At the end of your project I know you will be thinking of other projects that Black Star can help you with because the end results are even greater than what you imagined.  

 Black Star did a tremendous job on our Trex deck and patio/fire pit.  They beat the time line we were initially given and kept us in the loop every step of  the way.  All of the employees that were on-site were friendly and very respectful of our property.

The pricing was also far better than those competing for our business.  I would recommend Black Star a million times over!

 Black Star Home Improvement did a fantastic job building my deck. They showed up on time, communicated any issue immediately, and did what they said they were going to do. I got honest advice when I had questions and a fair quote for the work to be done. They followed through to ensure it met my expectations and the county's permit inspection. I highly recommend them.  

Black Star recently completed our deck project and we could not be happier with the results. Mark and his crew were a pleasure to deal with.
